Minecraft PE Crashes on android

Everytime I click to sign into my Microsoft account on minecraft it immediately crashes. I dont get any error message or any log in box it just crashes the app bringing me back to my homepage. I have tried reinstalling the game and the xbox app. Both the
app and tablet are up to date. This is on my daughters android tablet. Previous to this is was working fine, its all been since we carried out a tablet reset to resolve a separate issue. Please any help to actually resolve this would be very much appreciated
for me and my daughter.

and what is the error codes you get when trying to sign in?

Also do you have the Xbox app installed on your device?
