Minecraft PE chat

On Minecraft Pocket Edition, It won't let me see other player's chats and what they say. I use to play on my phone and now I have to use a kindle fire because of issues with my phone. I'm able to go to servers, I just can't chat with anyone. I really want
to at least talk to someone to help me with my problem, but when I try to get help, they can't help me. I don't have chat muted at all and I've tried removing minecraft and downloading again, trying to fix the problem in minecraft settings, and even going
to xbox.com to "privacy & online safety" but when I click on the "privacy & online safety", it brings me back to the support page. So I can't change the chat issue. Can anyone help me? This didn't happen when I was on my phone, but my phone just won't seem
to get wifi and I can't play on my phone so I'm stuck with my kindle. Help?

Did you broke any rules in the server? (example: hacking, spamming, etc.) Because, this might lead to permanent block/mute.

And by any chance, is your account in restriction mode?

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

It sounds like maybe you have an in-game setting where your chat is set to show only your friend's on Xbox Live, rather than everybody in the server. You said you've looked in the settings, but have you taken a look at your chat settings?

Try re-installing the game on your mobile device, then log in again to Xbox Live, and try chatting with people on the server.

You might have accidentally toggled a chat option with your controller's D-pad. This has happened to me a few times on Minecraft, but luckily I was able to figure it out with a few minutes of testing my controller buttons. If this still doesn't work, I suggest
restarting the game, or (if necessary) your device.

Thanks for replying to my post.

I’m not quite familiar with chat options and testing control buttons, maybe you could bring in more details (i’m using touch in-game controller).

Either way, I uninstalled the app, completely restarted the device, and installed the app back. Sadly, nothing changed at all.
