Minecraft Opens to A Screen with Graphics But Can't Play

We downloaded Minecraft for Windows 10 a few weeks ago. My son was able to play a few times. When he tried to open it last week, it only opened to a slowly rotating picture (see below). We can't escape out of it or do anything in it. We have tried to uninstall
and reinstall and the same thing occurs. Any ideas about what happened or how to fix it?

On what device are you playing Minecraft?

If playing on the Xbox One, is that sync message a Xbox system message (i.e. a grey bar across the screen with a green loading bar), or is that an in-game message (i.e. in pixelated Minecraft graphics)?

Please open the on-screen keyboard:

- Go to Start > Search and click on on-screen keyboard.

- Then, please open Minecraft in window mode (not fullscreen) and see if you can play it using the on-screen keyboard.

This will let us know if this is an issue with Minecraft not recognizing keyboard inputs or if this is an issue with your particular keyboard (maybe the driver).

I dont get the point of having to have HD for split screen on a game that has the worst graphics out of every xbox game... my toaster can process minecraft, will i need an HD toaster to play split screen?
