If you can't get to the privacy settings of the account means that's a child account and if you don't follow the steps trough a Microsoft family you won't be able to change the privacy settings

I've been trying to figure this out using what you gave me for 2 hours and still can't. I'm not adding any family members. I never changed anything in my Xbox account to make this happen. I'm still very lost.

If you have your settings set to block joining multiplayer games, you can’t join any multiplayer games in Minecraft, including shared local worlds, Realms or servers. To enable multiplayer in Minecraft, make sure this setting is set to ‘Allow.’
