    Minecraft on Switch login trouble


    I've been trying for about an hour now to sign into my Microsoft account on my Switch. It worked just fine about a week ago to play with my friends, but now when I try to sign in it just gives me a link to go to, a code, and an error screen whenever I
    follow its instructions. I've tried clearing my consoles cache, restarting my switch, uninstalling then reinstalling Minecraft, clearing the Account sign in data directly in Minecraft, and creating a new Microsoft account to try and sign in with. I have no
    idea what the problem is.

    Hi Jacbob,

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forum.

    That is a known bug that is affecting the Switch platform that Mojang is aware of and closely working with the Xbox team for a fix.
    There isn't an estimated time on when this will be fixed, but I would suggest posting a comment over on this bug reporting site

    I also recommend contacting Xbox customer support:

    1. Contact us here
    2. Select Xbox One
    3. Select See other options
    4. Select Payment & billing under Account management
    5. Select show contact options and go to step 4
    6. Select request a call from support if available or there should be a number for you to call

    Can't change Microsoft accounts on Nintendo switch.

    Hi Georges,

    thank you for your answer. I disagree. The problem is with a Microsoft account within minecraft. The issue is definitely with Microsoft.

    In Minecraft on switch there is a button to logout from Minecraft. When you login again, the authentication of the first Microsoft account which was logged into is prompted. There is no possibility to change the Microsoft account.

    There is an additional button "Delete Microsoft account login data". If this is pressed you are asked, if you are sure. If you press yes, nothing happens. Nothing has changed with login either.

    Can you help us, please?

    Issue is, I connected the Switch Minecraft version with my adult Microsoft account. Now my son is old enough and I want, that he logs into the switch with his own account. But I cannot change the Microsoft login account of switch minecraft. :-(

    Ok, my friend. Can you uninstall and install Minecraft again?

    Also, please do a Network Reset on Windows after you uninstall it (and before installing again):

    Go to Start menu > Settings > Network and Internet > Status > Network Reset.

    See if this works.
