Minecraft on Switch always requires Microsoft Login

1. Launch Minecraft.
   
2. Go to "Settings" and select "Profile."
   
3. Select "sign out of your Microsoft Account" then select "Sign in for free!"
   
4. You will be shown with an alphanumeric code and prompted to go to aka.ms/remoteconnect.
   
5. Once you have gone to the Remote Connect page, enter the alphanumeric code you were given.
   
6. Enter your Microsoft account credentials and sign in.

thank you for your answer. I disagree. The problem is with a Microsoft account within minecraft. The issue is definitely with Microsoft.

In Minecraft on switch there is a button to logout from Minecraft. When you login again, the authentication of the first Microsoft account which was logged into is prompted. There is no possibility to change the Microsoft account.

There is an additional button "Delete Microsoft account login data". If this is pressed you are asked, if you are sure. If you press yes, nothing happens. Nothing has changed with login either.

Can you help us, please?

Issue is, I connected the Switch Minecraft version with my adult Microsoft account. Now my son is old enough and I want, that he logs into the switch with his own account. But I cannot change the Microsoft login account of switch minecraft. :-(

So you have always used a Microsoft account to login to Minecraft?

When you click login with microsoft, click the switch account in the bottom left corner. Pick the correct account that you use to switch your account and taadaa. Minecraft works.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have question on log in for Minecraft. You should be able to log into all Minecraft on many different platforms with your Microsoft account. As Cross play requires a Microsoft account.
