Minecraft on Surface Book - Horrible performance

Hi all,

Got redirected here from the SB forums, so first time post to these forums as well. I just can't seem to find the solution for my problem and I'm really hoping someone out there knows about something I've overlooked/missed.

I just picked up a Surface Book (i7/256) and I LOVE it. Primarily used for art/illustration/photography I find myself also installing some games because this thing is great for that too, even thou it's not designed for that I'm happy they work.

I have Starcraft running at 3000x2000 with a solid 30fps! Divinity on Ultra settings getting 60fps!!! Some Cities Skylines and also some Civilization maxed out. I tried even more taxing games like Fallout and it runs surprisingly well. But this is where
things get odd!

Minecraft (1.8.8 or earlier) refuses to run properly on this device?! First, it really really wants to use the Intel GPU, I mean really really. But rest assured, I have found ways to force it to use the Nvidia GPU, however when using the Nvidia GPU I'm lucky
to get 15fps! On the Intel GPU I average 35fps with the faithful 32 resource pack installed, 'max' settings.

Note: I've tried the java version and non java version. I've forced the Nvidia card as default for the system. I've forced it for Minecraft. I've forced it for Java. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the display adapters. Basically, I've tried all of the
'normal' tricks and nothing works.

I'm left scratching my head, this makes no sense at all. This Nvidia card should push like 120fps out of a game like Minecraft. So any 'secret' or 'trick' I'm missing out on here?

Microsoft games and Xbox sign-in issues

Me too. I can't sign in with Microsoft Jackpot on my Surface Book, but the game works fine on my Surface 3. Deleting and reinstalling the app on my Surface Book made no difference.

I was having this problem on my Xbox One, Surface Book, and my Lumia Icon running Windows 10. I got an update on my Xbox which seemed to fix the issues with that, but the problem persists on my phone and my Surface Book. I can't play Spartan Strike or Spartan
Assault on my Surface Book, and I can't use the Xbox Extras app on my phone.
