    Minecraft on Mojang Account and Dungeons on Microsoft account


    Hi, so I've been waiting for the account migrations and noticed that it would be from the mojang account, I don't have anything on my microsoft account except for the standard version of Dungeons and wondered if that will be lost in the migration? Also it's been on for a while now, is there a way to set a reminder once the account is open for migration?

    Minecraft Dungeons Progress Transfer

    The thing is, you do not actually use a mojang account to play minecraft dungeons, instead you'll use a microsoft account, but I don't believe you can transfer progress between the microsoft store and the dungeons launcher editions.

    I recommend keeping the version out of the microsoft store instead.

    How do I migrate my Mojang account to a Microsoft account? Can I do it right now?

    We have opened migration for a limited amount of players. We will let you know on your profile page on Minecraft.net and in the Minecraft launcher when your account is ready to be migrated. If you’ve been notified that you’re eligible, you can just click the announcement to migrate.

    If you can’t find the announcement on Minecraft.net or in the Minecraft launcher, you’ll have to wait a bit longer —– but we’ll let you know when it’s your turn!

    Hello Kule, My name is Jesse. I'm an Independent Advisor and a member of the Microsoft community and I'd love to assist you today.

    In the Minecraft Launcher go to View All Accounts in the drop-down under your icon, and add a Microsoft account. Put in the info you use to log into Dungeons. Now you have to switch between accounts to play Dungeons (Microsoft) or Minecraft Java (Mojang) but it's all saved in the launcher.

    I see. If that fails, try downloading the game via Minecraft launcher. You can download the launcher through the Microsoft Store app, Xbox app, and the Mojang website. After installing the launcher, log in with your Microsoft account and download Microsoft Dungeons.
