minecraft on demo mode after trying to migrate account?

quite a few months ago i remember getting the notice and i was pretty sure i migrated my account. now months later i am trying to play and was prompted to log in. trying to log in with the mojang log in screen and was given an error. so i logged in through the microsoft one, was told to make a gamertag, and the game logged in, but every time i play it shows that i am on a demo mode instead. i have no idea how to tell it that i have a mojang account and own minecraft.

additionally, logging into the microsoft account on the minecraft website shows that i dont own the games either for some reason.

Do you have the confirmation email in your Microsoft account when you migrated your Mojang account?

when i try to install the launcher, i get this error

"Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001"

A new Launcher is being offered for download which supports Xbox Game Pass subscriptions. Unless you have such a subscription we are advising for the present not to install this new Launcher

Please download and install the Launcher marked as Windows 7/8 from this page - https://minecraft.net/download

Then try log in with the Microsoft account that you used to migrate your Mojang account.

if i did, i dont seem to have it anymore, as i recall doing this almost a whole year ago. i remembering being on the minecraft website going through the process to prepare my account for the migration, and thats its... i know i have had more than one microsoft account over the years so if there is some way to confirm what account i tied my mojang account to then im sure i could log in if it happens to be something else than what i thought. i know my mojang account was tied to a gmail, and thats what i was using to log into microsoft as well, same details and all.
