Minecraft not working for some reason

Hi, so I bought my friend a copy of Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition for his birthday, but he's in Slovenia and I'm in the UK, so it wouldn't let him redeem it due to him being in a different region from me, so I logged into his Microsoft account from my PC and was able to redeem the code from my PC but on his account. After that he was able to install it, however when he installed it, it came up with the error message "This App Can't Open: There's a problem with Minecraft Launcher. Reinstall the application or contact your administrator" were both out of ideas with this and I really want to be able to play with him but this problem is just getting in the way of things. Has anyone had this problem before and can anyone help fix it?

Sharing account info is against the Terms of Use and unsafe even if they are your friend. You redeemed the code in the UK so it will only work in the UK. He will not be able to play the game. Redeemable codes are meant to be used in the countries they are purchased.

Hi, i tried it and it didnt work, BUT when i try to go on different user in windows it for some wierd reason works but i dont really want to switch users everytime i want to play Minecraft. Could not be the reason of the error be the name of user? The user is named "!".

yeah they are wrong everything is correct because on my other laptop its on there and all my Minecraft is working but now that I switched computers its not working on here for some reason even though ive downloaded it properly.

I'm with hog, Minecraft does that to me too for some reason lol

Got it installed after getting this error. For some reason it doesn't like being installed on my D: drive.

What I did to get it working:

Uninstall the Minecraft Launcher

Reinstall it

Go to install Minecraft for Windows

When it asks what drive to install it to, select C:

Enjoy
