    Minecraft: Not Receiving Java Edition when I own Bedrock Edition


    Hi. A long time ago, I purchased Minecraft For Windows, which is the same as Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. However, when everyone was getting Minecraft: Java Edition for owning Bedrock Edition, I did not receive it. I have been trying to get this issue solved for almost 2 years now with zero results. I have been told that people will reach out that never have. Does anybody know how this issue can be resolved?

    My account was charged for game pass for pc and it says i have it but i cant play Minecraft Java

    As previously noted. Microsoft owns Minecraft, however Minecraft Java is not a Microsoft or Xbox game. The PC equivalent is “Minecraft Windows 10 edition” the Java version is a separate game not part of Minecraft bedrock, their-for not cross play with other devices.

    Xbox owns W10 edition not Java edition

    I'm being asked to buy Minecraft: Java and Bedrock edition although I have already owned Bedrock for years and I have Java on my laptop.

    The Xbox edition of Minecraft in the screenshot is still the Bedrock edition, is it not? I should have access to Java through owning the Bedrock edition, and I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to play it if I played Java in the past with my Microsoft account without having to buy Java.
