Minecraft not connecting to Xbox Live with Home Xbox

Hello,

My dad's account has Xbox Live Gold and the Xbox One is set to Home. When he plays Minecraft Better Together, he is able to access realms and servers. When I log in under my account on this home Xbox, I cannot connect to realms or servers. Sometimes I get a
error messages saying: I need to Login to XBL, please check internet connect, or unable to join. If we switch to my dad's user name, these errors go away for him but return when we switch back to my account. We have powered cycled the Xbox, had Microsoft recycle
my account, removed/reinstalled my account on the Xbox, and checked the Xbox is listed as Home.

Contacted Mojang Support and they said:

I think my Xbox is dying...

The Home screen tells me to connect to Xbox Live sometimes but I am connected when I go to Connection Status.

Hi

If a console has been permanently banned then it will be blocked from connecting with the Xbox Servers. As long as the account that purchased the content is not also blocked from connecting to Xbox live and you have not reached the limit of allowed home
device changes for the last twelve months then you should hopefully be able to make another Xbox One console your home device.

To clarify, are you only seeing this issue in Minecraft or are you seeing it in other games as well?
