    Minecraft- Not connecting to friend’s world


    Hi,

    I’ve been playing Minecraft Pocket Edition for iOS with my friend for months now. For a while (a few months ago) I was unable to connect to his world. I tried logging out and even deleting the app, and eventually this worked and we
    were able to play again. However, for about a month now, I was unable to connect to his world again. We both tried updating the app, as well as logging out and back in again, however this didn’t work. I decided to delete the app as previously my data
    had saved to my Minecraft account, but still couldn’t load the server- it stayed stuck on “locating server”. My friend decided to delete his app too, but his worlds didn’t save and thus we lost hours of work- this is obviously very disappointing. Additionally,
    we are still unable to connect to each other’s worlds, so it was a total waste of time. How can we fix this issue and connect, though I understand we likely won’t get this world back?

    There could be several reasons why you can't connect to your friend's world in Minecraft Bedrock:

    Firewall or router configuration: Your firewall or router may be blocking incoming connections, which would prevent your friend from connecting to your world.

    Internet connection: A slow or unstable internet connection can prevent you from connecting to your friend's world.

    Game version mismatch: You and your friend may be playing on different versions of the game. Ensure you are both on the same version of Minecraft Bedrock.

    Xbox Live account: Make sure both you and your friend are logged in to Xbox Live, as it is required for multiplayer on Minecraft Bedrock.

    NAT type: You may need to change your NAT type from strict to moderate, or open, in order to connect to your friend's world.

    Hi i you said you are trying to connect to his computer world while he is on mobile from my knowledge of pc minecraft if he is not on the world you can't connect to it also your friends internet could have a bad connection hope this helps

    The only way you can connect to other worlds is if you have friends that are in an open game.

    There is a Sticky thread called 'Minecraft Friends'
