    Minecraft Nintendo switch online multiplayer issues - Feature Servers now not able to join...


    Hello,

    I own a Nintendo Switch, and I have not been able to connect to Featured Servers for the past week. When I log into my account and have linked my Microsoft account, I do not see the current ping of the feature servers or how many are online like I used to. When I go to "Join server" --> Connecting to external server --> "Unable to connect to world"

    Things I have tried:
    1. Restarted / power off switch
    2. Updated the game to the current version 1.21.70
    3. Log out and log into Microsoft account
    4. Ensure Nintendo Play is active
    5. Updated port forwarding on the router for Nintendo Switch 1- 65534 (even though this worked before without these udpates)
    6. Restarted the router

    7. Assigned Switch to the DMZ and ensured NAT A type (which was NAT B before)

    8. Added "Find Crossplatform friends"BCMAIN" or "ALcMCJoiner" to test connect your own server

    None of these options allow me to connect to feature servers anymore. I have also tried another account on the same switch with its own Microsoft/Nintendo play, which also doesn't connect to the servers anymore.

    Can you help?

    Sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting to featured servers. I see you have already tried many things, how about using a different network? If you have hotspot, you can try to connect your Switch to that and see if you will get the same issue.

    I'm afraid if the issue will persist, you may have to reach out to Minecraft support so their dedicated support can check the issue. https://help.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/request/new...

    The Wi-Fi is faster than the hotspot, so I'm not sure what the issue could be with my network. Switch is a dedicated IP address to my router. Something has to do with the communication of the Minecraft servers; maybe DNS?

    Wi-Fi 38.2 MBsp -- doesn't work (no ping & no player count)

    Hotspot 11 MBsp -- works (see ping of servers & player count) --> Can connect

    Ill try more tomorrow. Thank you for the responses.

    I see, if it works on hotspot but not your Wi-Fi then it is network related.

    Please try to check the network speed when connected to Wi-Fi and compare it to hotspot.

    Yes, I also tried the hotspot on my cell phone, which had the same result. I submitted a support request to Minecraft.
