Minecraft Nintendo Switch keeps asking me to remote connect

This is really annoying how everytime my wife, and my kid have to be remote logged in every time they play I have to login type the codes for them as they are not tech savey and just want to play the game. How does one stop this annoying code asking system, it provides zero to no security as in if someone has hacked the microsoft account and gotten the passwords they can simply login type in the code just as I do every time my wife and kid want to play its just headaches. Please how do I make it stop.

I've been having the same issue when I didn't have an issue before. (It has always been finicky but I haven't had to remote login) I tried to do this when I had the application running but it wouldn't back up if it was. So I had to turn off the application and redo it. My question is, how can this work if it's not actively linked?

Update: I did what you said and now I cannot log in at all and says it has an error code of crossbow

Hi there Daniel welcome to the community forum! Christopher here, an Xbox fan just like you and has been on Xbox for years already. I would really love to make your day by helping you out. I have seen a lot of users with this issue, please try this:

1. On your Switch highlight the Minecraft window and press plus.

2. Go to Save Data Cloud and on the right you see your account name.

3. Press your account name and a Window opens and it should start a Backup.

4. Keep the Window open while you do the Backup and don't close it before the Backup is finished.

The reason is, every time you do something else on your Switch the Minecraft Backup resets to zero and you have to start again. That's why it never fixes itself, you have to keep the window open and don't let the switch go into standby.

5. After the Backup is finished you can close the window and Minecraft works again without asking you to remote connect.

The remote-connect problem mentioned in this thread requires the support specifically from Mojang. There are bugs already filed on Mojang's bug website and you can upvote or report this problem as a bug to Mojang.

We also recommend visiting the Minecraft Help Center and selecting "Contact Us" at the bottom to get in contact with Mojang Support.

I'm getting the same. Sometimes having to remote connect 2 or 3 times in an evening. Utterly ridiculous situation. Should at least be a "remember me on this console" feature with a genuine 2FA.
