    Minecraft Nintendo Switch edition - possible to change languages?


    We are thinking about buying the new Minecraft for Nintendo Switch that is supposed to come out in June 21. We plan to buy it in the US where we now live, however we want to be sure we can change the language to Japanese. Does anyone know if the version
    to be sold in the US will support multiple languages, including Japanese? Or would we have to buy one in Japan and somehow ship it to the US? (Japanese Amazon shows pre-orders available, but will not ship to the US.)

    I own Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition and I’ve bought previous DLC. How do I get it to sync to Minecraft?

    1. Log into Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition on your Switch account. This will sync the latest purchases.
    2. Log into the Minecraft on your Switch and you’ll be automatically granted the entitlements for that DLC.
    Note For every purchase you make on the previous version, you must first log into
    Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition, exit, and then launch the new Bedrock version for purchases to sync. DLC purchased within
    Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition will only remain on your Nintendo Switch device and will not carried over into other devices.

    To set up Bedrock Edition on your Nintendo Switch for free after purchasing Java Edition in January 2022, you will need to follow these steps:

    Log in to your Mojang account on the official Minecraft website.

    Go to your account settings and look for the "Claim your free copy of Minecraft" option.

    Select the "Redeem" button next to the Nintendo Switch option.

    You will be prompted to enter your Nintendo Switch account details.

    Once you have entered your Nintendo Switch account details, the Bedrock Edition will be added to your account.

    Go to the Nintendo eShop on your Switch and search for "Minecraft."

    Download and install the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft.

    Have you an active Nintendo Switch Online Subscription? I ask this because I found the following Q/A on Minecraft Nintendo Switch FAQ:

    Can I play Realms on this edition?

    Yes, Realms is available on the Bedrock edition of Minecraft for Nintendo Switch. To play online on a Nintendo Switch, you need to have a Nintendo Switch Online subscription, so this is a requirement for playing on Realms. More information about Nintendo Switch Online can be found here.

    Microsoft/Minecraft has made it extremely difficult and infuriating to play with friends.

    We are both using Nintendo switch but we are playing Minecraft. Not console edition. Bedrock edition if you will.
