    A corrupted file being detected could have been the reason for this error because you generally get prompted to uninstall and reinstall a game for the safety of your gaming experience and your progress. I would definitely advise you to reinstall it again, and if you have been saving your progress the correct way you don't have anything to worry about.

    Been getting this error (Error code 0x80040900) for about three days -- seems to only happen when I'm loading Minecraft (Better together).
    I have also been getting these error codes after playing the new Minecraft, I wouldn't be surprised if that's our issue.

    Has anyone found a solution? I'm having the EXACT same problem. Word for word, with Minecraft. I've had Minecraft since the release of the Better Together update (new version of Minecraft) There was an update, it wouldn't let me update, so I uninstalled
    and tried reinstalling---it tried to reinstall but prompted me with that error message with the code.
