    My son was trying to play Minecraft with his sister's on our Xbox One with LAN multiplayer but when he tried, he couldn't join his sister's and it said 'You cannot play online multiplayer because of how your Microsoft account is set up. Please ensure that your online safety settings allow Multiplayer. See instructions for changing these settings at aka.ms/MCMultiplayerHelp. He was using my account to do this, which is an adult account so all the settings were correct. Could anyone please help with this problem? I think it may have been because he had a friend over who forgot to press proceed when starting a game. My son said he had even deleted the game to try and fix it.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Can you please sign in to https://account.xbox.com/setting using your Microsoft account that he is using and make sure that the settings on this screenshot are set to "allow"?

    Also, make sure that the subscription that you have is an Xbox Live Gold subscription or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. To check follow the steps below:

    Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

    I was having the same problem and I followed all the steps and it worked for me! thanks so much, you were more helpful than minecraft support.

    I think my problem was that i didnt have the xbox app installed. but regardless i followed all the steps and updated my pc and it worked.

    Xbox Controller synced but missing in accessories

    We have 2 Xbox consoles, and it works with one but not the other. I followed all of the above steps and still having the issue. The one it doesn't work with is my son's Xbox, and he needs it for 2 players on Minecraft while someone is playing on the other Xbox. So borrowing the controller to the other console isn't an option.

    I have cleared all restrictions and I have tried on different xbox consoles. Have removed from family group. One ID just started doing it this week. Only on Xbox. Every other option that is used works. All other multiplayer games work. Minecraft is the only one that is restricting multiplayer access.
