Minecraft Multiplayer Problem

I cannot access anything related to Minecraft Multiplayer.

At first, I tried joining Minecraft Multiplayer.

However, it said I needed to go to privacy settings.

So I tried going there and figured out that my xbox account said "Something is wrong, please try again later or refresh".

I couldn't figure that out so that is 1 problem.

The next problem is that I can't change my privacy settings in xbox Microsoft.

All my privacy settings are turned off and I can't access anything. I can't toggle them on or off or anything.

My age in my Microsoft account is set to about 30 years old.

I did once make myself a member at the Microsoft family but I left the family group.

Was this the problem?

I still can't figure out how to do this.

I really want to play Minecraft Multiplayer and I have only played singleplayer my whole life.

Please help me out

May I ask what is the exact error or issue that your son is getting whenever he is trying to play Minecraft multiplayer so I can check that for you?

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you are having issues playing multiplayer in Minecraft and you are receiving an error message.

This error usually appears when your Xbox permissions are not configured properly. This time, try to use a different browser to rule out any possible cache issue.

1. Go to https://account.xbox.com/settings

2. Login using your Microsoft account with Minecraft (Parent account).

(if it doesn't say it and directs you to the website, make sure you're signed in using the correct email)

Note: If you don't have an Xbox account, it will ask you to make one, so make any account.

3. If you scroll down, under your username and Avatar it should say "Xbox one/windows 10 online safety" click on that

4. Scroll down until you see "You can join multiplayer games" allow or block,

Select "Allow" to enable multiplayer in your account

Relaunch Minecraft and you should be able to join any multiplayer server.

Once done, you may sign back in to Minecraft and should be able to play multiplayer.

Important: If you just recently configured this setting, please allow at least few hours for the new settings to reflect to all Microsoft servers. You may try to sign out and sign back in to your Minecraft to resync your profile.

I checked my settings and they are already set to allow people to play with me online but it still isn’t working. My switch doesn’t have any parental controls set to restrict anything on it either.
