Minecraft multiplayer on Xbox not working.

My son can’t seem to play multiplayer on the Xbox in Minecraft.

It did work before but now it’s not.

We have a family subscription for the Ultimate game pass which includes Gold.

I changed all of his settings.

The only thing I can think of is that he recently bought a Nintendo switch and we set it up with his Minecraft account.

Any ideas?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

First, please make sure that the account that has an active subscription is set as Home Xbox on the console.

1. Sign in to the account that has an active subscription.

2. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

3. Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Personalization, and then select My home Xbox.

4. Check "Make this as My Home Xbox".

Once confirmed, try to play the game again under your son’s account.

If you have your settings set to block joining multiplayer games, you can’t join any multiplayer games in Minecraft, including shared local worlds, Realms or servers. To enable multiplayer in Minecraft, make sure this setting is set to ‘Allow.’

Ask your friend to do this step on Xbox and try again, please.

Clean your console's MAC and restart your internet devices.

Network Settings> Advanced Settings> MAC Address and Clear.
