Hi Manuela, currently I am operating Minecraft with a PC. The message it's giving when I hover over the options for multiplayer says "Multiplayer disabled. Please check your microsoft settings."

Just did a pc restart.. still getting the same issue sadly.. greyed out multiplayer saying its disabled.. can i just take his entire account off a family option? I only made the account just so we could play minecraft together.

Sorry for the confusion! The information I provided you above is for Minecraft: Java Edition. To turn off text chat on Minecraft: Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass for PC, follow these steps:

Start Minecraft and enter a multiplayer server.
Press the “Home” button on your controller.
Select “Settings”.
Select “Audio.”
Scroll down to “Game Chat” and select “Off.”
This will disable text chat on Minecraft: Xbox One and Xbox Game Pass for PC. If you want to re-enable chat, simply follow the same steps above and select “On” instead of “Off.”
