    Minecraft Multi-player for Kids


    Hello, my kids want to play Minecraft with friends (multiplayer?), and in-game message says "You need permission. You cannot add friends because of how your Microsoft account is set up. See instructions for reviewing and changing your privacy settings at
    http://aka.ms/MCmultiplayerhelp."

    That then tells me to login to Xbox using parent account https://account.xbox.com/settings , but when I do that I can't find my kids' accounts?

    Any advice? My daughter's want to play with each other to share some sort of farm world they built and this is super frustrating. Thanks in advance.

    Note: They play Minecraft on Amazon fire tablets and laptops, not on an Xbox... if that makes any difference?

    If you do not know how to change the settings for HDTV here is what you do. On the Dashboard you need to go to the Settings menu and select System. Once there select Console Settings. Then select Display. Then select HDTV Settings. There you can select your
    HDTV's settings. You must be on at least 720p to play the Minecraft split screen.

    For splitscreen in Minecraft you need a HDTV with a resolution of 720p or higher.

    This site gives you the answer - it's about 2/3 of the way down. You need to update your xbox profile settings.

    The tricky bit is that if you are under 13, the accounts site redirects you to an irrelevant site without telling you why. You need to join a family group or something.
