minecraft mojang account migration failed

I just tried to migrate my mojang minecraft account to a microsoft account but didn't have a microsoft account created before hand. i thought it would let me create one during the migration process but instead it allowed migration without creating a microsoft account and i did not have one prior. i am now locked out of minecraft because i have no idea what my microsoft account is since i never created one and my mojang credentials no longer works. this account im using i created after the migration process completed.

I do not have the option to set a new microsoft account/email on the mojang website.

i see no way to directly contact microsoft support other than make a post in community forums. does anybody know how to directly contact microsoft to get high level support? i know my old mojang account email/username/password but have no idea of the microsoft email/username/password that is now associated with said account.

Edit: It allowed me to migrate my account to my google email that i was using for the mojang account which doesn't work for microsoft and was never linked to anything microsoft.

It is possible to have a Microsoft account with an email from Gmail but you should have created the account before going through the migration process.
I recommend contacting Mojang to unlink this account and migrate to another Microsoft account.

It shouldn't be possible, but I entered my google email thinking it would let me create a microsoft account to link to it. Instead, it accepted the google email as a valid microsoft account. I will contact mojang with the link provided, thanks!

You already migrated your account to Microsoft and that also will migrate your game to Microsoft store.

Try this:

simply open the Minecraft launcher, click accounts and sign out. Login using Mojang account (this will fail if you have migrated already), and then re-login using Microsoft account. This will 'reset' (without loss of data) the game back to normal allowing you to play offline.
