    I tried to change my mojang account to a windows account. But I accidentally closed the tab in the middle of the process. And now, if I try to log in to mojang, it says 'this mojang account has been changed to a microsoft account'. But when I try to log in (with that same email) to a microsoft account, it says that there isn't an account with that email. I already tried to log in to all the excisting microsoft accounts on my laptop, but that also doesn't work.

    Hi Uso. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

    Once a Minecraft account is migrated to a Microsoft account, it is permanently associated with that account. Unfortunately, you can't change this after migrating.

    To clarify, you are having issues accessing Minecraft on the account you migrated it to?

    Hello @ErinBuell! I hope that you are doing well today!

    If you haven't already, please try the following instructions.

    After the migration, you have to ADD a NEW account, and link it to your Microsoft account. Startup will take longer, but it sure works.

    On the login prompt in the java launcher, go back. You'll see the Mojang account you had been signing into - ignore it, and add a new account to the launcher. Using the email address associated with the Microsoft account you just migrated to, sign in with the email address and password of your Microsoft account. It's not an elegant migration on the UX side of things, but it does work.
