Minecraft: Migration from Mojang to Microsoft account failed

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having trouble accessing Minecraft after migrating your account from Mojang to Microsoft. I understand how frustrating it can be to encounter such issues.

We can try some steps to fix the issue however if the steps fail, we may need you to reach Mojang Support so they can help you further.



Please try the following steps:

- Make sure you are signed in with the same Microsoft account that you used to migrate from Mojang.

- Check your purchase history on the Microsoft Store to see if Minecraft is listed there.
- If the steps fail, try this:

• Open the Minecraft launcher.
  
• On the login prompt, go back.
  
• You’ll see the Mojang account you had been signing into - ignore it, and add a new account to the launcher.
  
• Using the email address associated with the Microsoft account you just migrated to, sign in with the email address and password of your Microsoft account.

The Minecraft migration from Mojang is on a separate Microsoft account. How can I access my purchase?

When you purchased the Minecraft Java originally, did you purchase it with a Mojang account or a Microsoft account? If you purchased it with a Mojang account, have you tried migrating the account to a Microsoft account yet? You can learn more about migrating your Mojang account to a Microsoft account here:

You can also try installing the Minecraft launcher through the Xbox app and installing Java from there.

You already migrated your account to Microsoft and that also will migrate your game to Microsoft store.

Try this:

simply open the Minecraft launcher, click accounts and sign out. Login using Mojang account (this will fail if you have migrated already), and then re-login using Microsoft account. This will 'reset' (without loss of data) the game back to normal allowing you to play offline.
