    My minecraft account was migrated since the last time I played. I am unable to open minecraft at this point. I've completely uninstalled everything. I was unable to download and install the Minecraft Launcher. Using the installer downloaded from

    https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition, I open the launcher installer and it says

    "Please continue in the Microsoft Store

    We are having trouble communicating with the Microsoft Store. Please open the store and continue the installation from there. Click here to open the Microsoft Store"

    When I clicked the link, it took me to the listing for the Minecraft Launcher, which had a greyed out button. For a while I was going through various versions of "can't add a personal account to windows store" problems, but I think I resolved that by removing all of my windows accounts, rebooting, and creating a new one that was synced with my windows live account.
    Once I was able to get logged in to the microsoft store, it took me a while to figure out why the "GET" button was greyed out - I didn't have a credit card associated with my account. Once I added a credit card to my windows live account, The "GET" button became bluish purple labeled "Install" (I'm color blind, sorry if this description is inaccurate), but when I click it, I get a prompt for requesting permissions for the windows Host Service, and then an infinite spinner and nothing happens.

    I've run wsreset.exe and gone through this process again. I can not download or install the game that I paid for. I only use windows defender. There is no VPN. I am using all AMD hardware if that makes a difference.

    How do I fix my account so that I can download the game and play it?

    Jason, could you try download and install the older Launcher marked as Windows 7/8 from this page - https://minecraft.net/download

    Before that if you have installed the Microsoft store launcher, delete it

    Also, just to let you know it seems that right now the outage from yesterday regarding Xbox Live services is still persisting

    The best option for now is try waiting until the outage finally can be fixed (this is an estimated time, there is no ETA yet)

    Would be nice try isolating the issue to see if can be the PC or your account.

    But let's try something different. Please open Xbox Console Companion App on your PC, then go to settings > network.

    What's appearing on NAT type?

    Thanks again, I've never opened the Xbox Console Companion (I do not own an XBox). This is a nice easy way to get this information.

    Network status

    Internet connection: Connected

    Xbox Live services: Up and running

    Xbox multiplayer:

    NAT type: Open

    Server connectivity: Connected

    Performance:

    Latency: 28ms

    Packet loss: 0%

    Typically my download speed is about 300-400mb down and 20 up
