Minecraft Microsoft Account Online Accessibility

Hey, so this new thing has been going on for a week or so and on my xbox under realms, friends, and the server tab it pops up with this message saying something about my “Microsoft account not set up properly” now I’ve gone to the link it sent me and I’ve enabled everything I’m supposed to and more yet it still has the same results for me. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong or haven’t done. Can someone help me?

if you cannot access your microsoft account and have 2fa active then they are right all is lost, and as the microsoft account is the account that minecraft migrated too you have now lost minecraft if you cannot access the microsoft account.

I do not understand why Minecraft has to have Xbox live, Microsoft and mojang just to play the game.

Minecraft needs a Xbox Live account and running subscription as its a ONLINE game. You need the Microsoft account as Xbox Live is a Microsoft gaming platform and you need to sign in with your Microsoft account for access to your games , etc.

As of this afternoon I am having the same problem. Can access Xbox, microsoft online ect but ps4 wont sign in with minecraft. Same error message “We tried to sign you in to your Microsoft account, but something went wrong.”

If you signed in with a new Microsoft account on your PS5, you will not be able to access your old Minecraft account that was linked to your previous Microsoft account.
