Minecraft - merged account Family Safety restrictions

Im trying to fix multiplayer restriction on minecraft. How do I do this on an account that was managed with Google Family link?

    Yes, Google Family link....

My son's gmail account was merged as an xbox microsoft account back when microsoft did this a while back.

When he selects multiplayer in minecraft he is re-directed to a Family & online safety Xbox page that points out why. The offered solutions (I think) is to login as the organizer of the family account and change these restrictions. However... what would the organizer account be? because i sure cant seem to login as a microsoft account with the gmail account that originally managed my son's account in Google Family link. I feel that this complexity was not thought of during the merge and I dont want to hand over money for another minecraft license just so it works under a different account.

    :)

Minecraft - merged account Family Safety restrictions

Hi and thanks for reaching Microsoft Xbox gamer's community. My name is Josef.
I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

Hope you're doing great today SJam4325

Google family is not the one causing the issue with your son's Microsoft account

Let's try something, sign in with your son's account here
    https://account.microsoft.com/family/home

Are someone else with your son there? Or not?

By the way, is this for minecraft java edition or Bedrock edition?

I'll be waiting for your answers, greetings from another Microsoft user

why can't I open fh4 auction and it always says about parental control

Hello Gathfaan R, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

Family Safety settings are designed to provide parental control options to manage and restrict access to certain content and features.

To deactivate Family Safety settings permanently on your Xbox account, you will need to make changes to your Microsoft account settings. Here are the steps to follow:

Visit the Microsoft Family Safety website: Go to the Microsoft Family Safety website (https://account.microsoft.com/family/), and sign in with your Microsoft account credentials.

Select the account to manage: Choose your account from the list of family members.

Adjust Family Safety settings: Navigate to the appropriate section related to Parental Controls or Family Safety settings. Look for options related to game restrictions or content restrictions. You may need to enter your account password or complete additional verification steps to make changes.

Disable or modify restrictions: Look for options to disable or modify the specific restrictions that are affecting your access to the auction feature in Forza Horizon 4. It may be necessary to adjust age restrictions or modify content settings.

Save the changes: Once you have made the necessary adjustments, save the changes to apply the new settings to your Xbox account.

Please note that the exact steps and options may vary depending on your specific Microsoft account settings and the current configuration of your Family Safety settings.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards.

    family account restricted

if your sons account is set up on family settings as a child account I believe restrictions will automatically be set to not allow them to play a game that is not for their age group. age ratings on games are there to keep children safe.

How do I change the birth-date I set if I accidentally set it under 13?

Hi, AussieAnimates! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues playing Minecraft.

Unfortunately, changing your account's date of birth will not remove filters and restrictions that were put in place considering your account's original date of birth.

To allow access to Minecraft and multiplayer features, your child account needs to be added to a Family Group where the organizer/parent account can manage your account's security and privacy settings.

To do this on a browser:

    - An adult will need to sign in at https://account.microsoft.com
    - Scroll down and click on "Family"
    - Select "Add a family member"
    - Here your family organizer can change age filters and restrictions for your child account.
    - Online safety and privacy settings can be changed through the organizer's account at: https://account.xbox.com/settings

The following settings need to be enabled to allow access to multiplayer features on Minecraft:

    - You can join multiplayer games
    - You can join cross-network play
    - You can create or join clubs

    * This can also be done through the Xbox Family mobile app available for iOS and Android, or an Xbox console by going to Settings > Account > Family Settings > Manage Family members.

More information on family settings for Minecraft can be found at:
    https://support.xbox.com/help/family-online-safety/online-safety/manage-a-members-safety-settings-to-access-minecraft-features

Please let me know if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.
    Best regards.

this is definitely the issue here, if the ESRB rating is rated anything but E for everyone it will automatically restrict the ability to play those games.
