    Greetings, I think my question has to do with both license of the game Minecraft and Microsoft accounts.

    In big picture, I’m trying to set up Minecraft Java to play with my kids on a local LAN server. I purchased Minecraft from the Microsoft store (tied to my Microsoft account), and installed it on two computers. I have a LAN server running on a 3rdrcomputer. I can start Minecraft on both computers but when one computer connects to the server, the second computer kicks the other computer off the server. This makes sense, as both computers are logged into the same Microsoft account. From what I understand there is a licensing issue here, if I need to buy another license, that is fine but how do I do that? My kids are young, do not have e-mail (or Microsoft account). In total I have 4 kids so its desirable to allow for flexibility so they can play a few of them at a time. In the good old days, we would buy multiple copies of a game (coming with multiple CD keys), install the game one each computer (using a different key) and it all worked.

    Is there a way for me as the Family administrator to purchase multiple licenses of Minecraft (under my own Microsoft account) to be played simultaneously on the same server?

    OR, is there another option I should be looking into? Is there another solution to my problem.

    Can I swap my Xbox account with another one?

    Could I just request a Minecraft license change? I honestly don't really mind the Xbox account. I just want to have my Minecraft license on my main Microsoft account. I will not buy Minecraft again for that price.

    I set my son up on my Microsoft account in order to play Minecraft. He now has his own Microsoft account. Can we tranfer his game from one account to another without him loosing all his progress?

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that your son is currently using your Microsoft account to play Minecraft and you want to see if his account can be transferred to his own Microsoft account.

    Unfortunately, Minecraft's license to play the game is bound to a Microsoft account. This means that it can never be removed or transferred from the account when you initially purchased the license to play the game.

    I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Minecraft/Microsoft account.

    It is not possible to delete the Minecraft license by a hacker as it is permanently attached to your Microsoft account.

    Based on your description, the account you have regained access to does not actually have the Minecraft license at all.

    In order to fix this, you will need to find the Microsoft account where your Minecraft was migrated and where your Minecraft game license was purchased.

    Kindly sign in to all of your Microsoft email accounts on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft game.

    From there, check if you have any Minecraft transactions. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to login to Minecraft Launcher.

    If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

    Just in case, the Microsoft account that is linked to your Minecraft account was deleted, I'm afraid it is no longer possible to recover your Minecraft account.

    Your Minecraft account must have migrated to the original Microsoft account email address where it was first created.

    In order to fix this, you will need to find the Microsoft account where your Minecraft was migrated and where your Minecraft game license was purchased.

    Kindly sign in to all of your Microsoft email accounts on account.microsoft.com > payment and billing > order history > select the date of range when you purchased your Minecraft game.

    From there, check if you have any Minecraft transactions. If you have found the transactions, use the same Microsoft account to login to Minecraft Launcher.

    If you're unable to find the Minecraft game transaction, check your other Microsoft email accounts' order history.

    Just in case, you may also try to contact the reseller where you have purchased your Minecraft account and ask them for the Microsoft account to which the Minecraft game license was migrated.

    The Minecraft license and account are permanently tied to the Microsoft account it was migrated to or purchased for, so I'm afraid it can't be transfered to a different email
