    At the start of last month I bought Minecraft java and it claims that I still own the game on my PC. My PC has all the requirements to be able to install and run Java. For the past month, though, I have been constantly trying to download the launcher. It either crashes through the installer given by the website, or errors through the Microsoft store and the Xbox app on the PC. On the Xbox app, it gives me the error code 0x00000001. If anyone knows what in the world is going on can you please tell me and how to fix it. That would be awesome.

    why use the launcher, i use minecraft direct without the launcher, you have the option to install minecraft with or without launcher in the xbox app.

    Minecraft "for windows" won't install on new launcher.

    For anyone still struggling with this the thing that finally got mine to work is uninstalling the launcher and installing "Minecraft for Windows + Launcher" rather than just "Minecraft Launcher." I hope this helps.

Download it again. and the launcher download button.
