Minecraft launcher still insists that I sign in with this old account.

Have you tried to change the account from your Microsoft Store?

Launch the Xbox app (https://www.xbox.com/apps/xbox-app-for-pc) and sign in with your Microsoft Account.

Select your gamer pic, then select Settings.

Under Account, select Change my Microsoft Store account.

Follow the on-screen instructions and sign in to the Store with your new Microsoft Account.

Then, reset the store and try installing the game again.

To Reset the Store, Press the Windows Key + R > Type WSReset.exe and press Enter.

I have this exact same issue. Even though I migrated my account, it seems to think I don't own Minecraft. I can play Minecraft on the old launcher (logged into my Microsoft account) as it seems to recognise that I own the game there. Its only the new launcher that is having the issue and the Mojang website.

If you still have the old launcher installed maybe give it a go as it still works for me.

Logging in online still only brings me to the new account. It's like the old account doesn't exist anymore, but the Minecraft launcher is the only thing that still shows that it exists.

If you have the Xbox App, sign out first at the Microsoft Store App and sign in with the account you wish to play with. Then do the same on the Xbox App, completely sign out, then sign in with the account you wish you with to play with. Then in the Minecraft Launcher sign out completely then attempt to log back in with your Microsoft Account. Let me know if you're still having issues, we can try something else.

Make sure that the password of your Minecraft account is correct to be able to sign in successfully. Or you can also reset the password of the account before signing in.

Please update the launcher. Make sure that your Minecraft launcher is updated to the latest version. Open the Xbox app, locate the Minecraft launcher, and check for updates.

And then clear account cache. To do this, open the Minecraft launcher, log out of all accounts, and clear the account cache because this can help reset the sign-in process.

Next is to reset the Microsoft Store by pressing Windows + R to open the Run dialog box.

Type wsreset.exe and press Enter. This will reset the Microsoft Store cache.

Then repair or reset the Launcher. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" > "Apps & Features."
