I understand that you are experiencing issues with Minecraft Launcher not starting your game.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please check for background processes by opening Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and look for any Minecraft-related processes. If you see Minecraft.exe or Minecraft Launcher, right-click and select End Task. Then launch the game again.

And then run Minecraft as administrator. To do this, right-click the Minecraft Launcher and select Run as Administrator. This can help bypass permission-related issues.

Next is to reset the Microsoft Store & Xbox App. Do this by opening Command Prompt as administrator and run the following command: wsreset.exe

Restart your PC and launch Minecraft again.

Then check Windows defender & firewall settings because Windows Defender blocks certain processes. Go to Windows Security > Virus & Threat Protection > Manage Settings and temporarily disable Real-time protection. Kindly launch Minecraft and see if it works.

Thank you for your quick response and the detailed instructions.



I followed all the steps you provided:

• Closed all Minecraft-related background processes using Task Manager
  
• Launched the Minecraft Launcher as an administrator
  
• Ran wsreset.exe to reset the Microsoft Store and Xbox App, then restarted my PC
  
• Temporarily disabled Real-time protection in Windows Security
  

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue. After clicking “Play” in the launcher, the game still attempts to load but then completely stops without launching. Upon reopening the launcher, I still receive the same error code:
0x800705b4

I would appreciate any further guidance or solutions you can offer, as I’m still unable to launch the game.
