Minecraft launcher keeps asking for parental permission after already providing it

I wanted to allow my son to play multiplayer for which it seems he needed to be added to my Microsoft Family account. After I did that, Minecraft keeps asking to "email for permission" in order to be launched. I've provided that permission numerous times, but it still asks for permission every time and he is unable to launch Minecraft at all.

I've tried all of the following without success:

- Removing and readding the Minecraft permission

- Removing him from my family account

- Changing him to an organizer

- Removing and reinstalling Minecraft

- Resetting Windows (reinstalling)

At the moment he is unable to play a game we paid for. Please help. There doesn't seem to be any way we can fix this and regain access to the game.

Thanks for the detailed reply.

I was going to try it today, but when I tried to launch Minecraft it updated itself and since then I haven't had any issues.

I'm not sure whether the update fixed it or whether something had to propagate on the backend, but either way, it is working now.

Here are things that you need to check if are getting this error.

Sign out of the launcher for all connected accounts

Sign out from the Microsoft Store

Uninstall the Laucher

Login here to check the game you owned

Sign in to Microsoft Store using the correct account

Install the Windows Minecraft Launcher

Sign in with the same account as signed in with the Microsoft Store

Troubleshoot Store Apps

Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support

Get Updates for Store and Games

Get updates for apps and games in Microsoft Store - Microsoft Support

Delete Temp Files

Click Start and click Settings.
Select System.
Select Storage.
Select This PC.
Click Temporary files.
Choose Temporary files.
Click Remove files.

If you are doing this on a browser : Managing parental consent - Microsoft Support

Try to clear browser cache, data and cookies.

Use private browsing as well.

If you are doing this from the mobile app

Uninstall and reinstall the application

HI, Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately changing her permissions is not the issue. I have easily done that bu changing her content restrictions to 16+. Unfortunately this does not resolve my problem. I want to keep the contact restrictions at 8+ but
when she opens up the game, it asks for parent permission,. When I provide that permission, the xbox spining wheel just keeps on spinning for ages and does not work.
