    Minecraft Launcher Java download


    Hello! I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this issue? I'm trying to get Minecraft Java edition on the Xbox Microsoft store at the moment, and for some odd reason it isnt working? I checked my account and the game isnt appearing, but on the main Microsoft Store it is? I'm not sure what to do, and I already checked if they are the same account and they are, if anyone could tell me what to do that would be greatly appreciated, as I already tried contacting Mojang support but they couldn't really do anything, and I'm able to play bedrock on the launcher, as the launcher is appearing, but I cannot get the Java version.

    i just bought minecraft java and bedrock i can play bedrock but when i try and play java it says buy now but when i click it says already owned and it wont let me download it what do i do?

    Hello Georgina, my name is Zahir.

    I would assume you are trying to download on a windows pc.

    You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

    I don't get an error code accept for "an error occurred on our end" and a manual install also does not work.

    Also is their three packages for the minecraft launcher?

    One that is for both java edition and inecragt for Windows

    The second java edition

    The third minecraft for windows.

    I did eventually get a version to work since the old launcher redirected me to the new launcher which I installed and did let me install minecraft for windows version.

    However the store version which downloads java edition and something else never worked.

    Not by reseting not by uninstalling and reinstalling not by downloading from the minecraft website and manually downloading.

    When I click buy from the Minecraft launcher it takes me to this website https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/store/minecraft-java-edition?ref=Launcher I'm not logged in and it has the option to purchase Minecraft but after logging in to the that website with same Microsoft account that I had logged into the Minecraft launcher with the purchase option is replaced with Already own Minecraft? Download it again. and the launcher download button.

    Remove the game and launcher, from Mojang website download launcher and install. In the launcher login with your Microsoft account, after that you will be able to download Minecraft and Java Edition through the launcher.
