    Minecraft Launcher Install Failures


    Subject says it all. Can't install Minecraft Launcher on Windows 11 PC. Unable to install redistributable (error "Looks like something went wrong We weren't able to install the app (0x8007007E)"), unable to install the launcher in the Microsoft Store (Try again later Something happened on our end).

    PC is up to date, including optional updates. No updates are available.

    Tried a clean boot with all 3rd party services shut down, got the same error.

    Tried a clean Windows 10 install on a different computer, got the same error.

    Could it be account related? Issues started after migrating Mojang account to Microsoft.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Good morning! No, I think it's safe to say that switching over your account doesn't relate to your ability to install the software--if the problem were your account, you would be able to download the game, but have issues logging in. If you want to test this, you could try logging in from a friend who has Minecraft installed to make sure everything's good there.

    That said, we're aware that there's some problems with the newer Minecraft Launcher that rolls both launchers into one (Bedrock and Java launching from the same window), so for now, try installing them separately and let me know how that pans out.

    Hello,today i try to sign in MultiMC 5 but in the end when sign in with the microsoft account there is a error that "XBox user authentication failed." Please say me how to fix it.

    If this is a minecraft launcher you have to ask the developer to fix their login issues. It's how their software is doing authentication that is causing the failure
