I am having this same issue. Gets hung on the Mojang screen and will not continue to load after hitting Play in the launcher. I can get any other edition to load other than Java. Uninstalled and reinstalled Java and the launcher with restarts between. Still not working.

Hello Protogen_1, good to know that you have your Windows up to date, I believe that even an update came out this week for version 22H2.

This error that is appearing, in many cases can be related to the lack of the Xbox App for PC and the Companion App.

Make sure all Xbox Apps are up to date in the store, and make sure you have the Xbox Companion App installed, it works with the Xbox App.

Aftter this, restart your PC and try to login to the Minecraft launcher.

I am logged into the XBox app and the site, everything newly installed, and I am still getting the error. I can play Bedrock, but I can't access Java edition because it requires the Launcher to start which I can't log into.

I found out i was not signed in in the XBox app lol.
User error lmao.
Without you i wouldnt have found that issue though, so thank you!
