    Minecraft Launcher doesn't run


    I bought the Minecraft Java Edition game for PC and after installing it the launcher doesn't start. I can't play. What can I do?. Thank you

    minecraft launcher wont open

    this doesn't seem to work but when I try to open Minecraft launcher it will run as a background process for a second then it will disappear.

    I understand. Did you try to run Minecraft direct from Xbox App, without Minecraft Launcher?

    If not, please try and let me know how it goes. If it still doesn't work, we will proceed to further troubleshooting.

    i just bought minecraft java and bedrock i can play bedrock but when i try and play java it says buy now but when i click it says already owned and it wont let me download it what do i do?

    Hello Georgina, my name is Zahir.

    I would assume you are trying to download on a windows pc.

    You will have to install the minecraft launcher first.

    To play Minecraft: Java Edition, download and install the correct launcher for your operating system. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Java Edition.

    To play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, you will need a device running Windows 10 or 11 to download and install the newest version of the Launcher, within which you can launch and play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Sign into the Launcher using your Microsoft account, and you will be able to run Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.

    I migrated my Mojang account... big mistake.

    Close your launcher. Navigate to your .minecraft folder and delete the launcher_msa_credentials.bin file. Then, run the launcher and log back in.

    Minecraft Launcher is currently not available in your account. Make sure you are signed in to the Store and try again. Here’s the error code, in case you need it: 0x803F8001

    Okay so i fixed the problem...still, the vanilla minecraft wont run from "true minecraft launcher", but it will thru 3rd party launcher (such as badlion). So yea...that was my fix...
