    Minecraft Launcher and App Won't Download


    I just bought minecraft windows edition yesterday and want to download it on my 2017 surface. Currently, downloading either windows edition or the launcher from the microsoft store doesn't work. I've tried restarting the app and repairing its data as well as updating the laptop and restarting it. It keeps getting stuck after saying it's going to create a new folder with the app data. Other downloads are still available. Looking for help with this. Also since I want to play Minecraft, is the Xbox app or launcher even necessary? The Xbox app won't load either.

    Please check if you can access the game by following the steps I’m going to share below:

    -Download and open the Xbox app on your PC
    -Verify that you sign in the Xbox app and the Microsoft account with the account that you used to purchase Minecraft.
    -On the Xbox app, search for the Minecraft launcher once you click on Library and download it.

    Note: in case the Minecraft launcher doesn’t appear there, look for it and download it by clicking “Microsoft Store” on the Xbox app.

    -Once downloaded the Minecraft launcher, access with the account that owns the game and try launching Minecraft for Windows when the launcher downloads all the dependencies.

    First of all, if you have any Minecraft Launcher installed, please uninstall it completely from your PC.
