Minecraft Launch/Purchase issue

I purchased the java bedrock package last week but when I went to play java, it said I needed to make a profile (even though I already made one on the website). I tried googling the issue but none of the fixes helped. Figured I would wait a day or two then try to figure it out again. When I went into the launcher today, it said I could play the java demo but had to buy it if I wanted to play the whole game. I don't understand whats going on. Its hard to not feel like i'm being robbed by mojang. Any advice/assistance would be most appreciated.

I have seen people say to try the old launch but can't figure out how to get it.

Please help.

I also have the same issue. I purchased the Windows 10 version through Microsoft and have no issues playing Minecraft if I launch from the Minecraft app. But, if I try to launch through Minecraft launcher it says I have not purchased. I have tried signing
out and back In multiple times to refresh, no luck. Any advice?

Would you please confirm that you see the Java & Bedrock Bundle purchase showing as completed on your Microsoft account order history page?

If you want to try the old launcher (which works in some cases) please download it at:

https://minecraft.net/download

Make sure you sign in with the correct Microsoft Account used for the Migration. You can also try to run the old launcher on compatibility mode:

Right-click the Minecraft Launcher > Click Properties > Go to Compatibility tab > Check Run this program in compatibility mode for > Select Windows 7/8.

I totally understand how you are feeling.

The first thing you need to do is check your Microsoft account purchase history and check if everything is okay.

You can check it here:

After that, with everything checked, you need to contact Mojang directly at the Minecraft Help Center.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select "Contact" to fill out the Minecraft support form. Mojang may ask you to confirm your Xbox purchase history ( And that is why it is recommended to check your purchase first )
