Minecraft keeps trying to use my integrated graphics instead of my graphics card.

Did you change the settings for Minecraft within the settings menu?

1. Go to Settings > System > Display
   
2. Find Minecraft in the list
   
3. Select and choose the GPU you want it to use

It is possible you are using integrated graphics instead of your Nvidia card. Check the Nvidia control panel to see what preferred graphics processor is set and change to the 1070 if needed.

Do you know what's your graphics cards?

We could try using a previous version for your graphics card driver to see if that fix the issue

Also, if you have de dedicated graphics card or an integrated graphics card, you could try disabling the dedicated to see how it goes

The repeating audio happened every time my laptop every froze, usually during longer sessions or demanding games. My laptop has an nvidia graphics card and an intel cpu with integrated graphics, so shouldnt it fall back on the integrated graphics if anything happened with the gpu?

I was anticipating a 'laptop' as as reply.

With a desktop the integrated graphics should only be used by a game (or the system itself) if you've connected your PC to the display via the motherboard instead of the dedicated graphics card.

Is your display plugged into the GTX 1060?

The video port on the motherboard is only meant for use if you have no dedicated graphics card.
