Minecraft keeps crashing while I try to play!

Hello,

I've been having a couple of issues with minecraft java. I can't even open the game, just the launcher, as when I click on play, it will load a little before closing down entirely. I have a mac, and have looked into having the latest version of java, which I have. I'm not sure of the issue, but have gotten exit code 1 and errors concerning the java executable on previous attempts. Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

update: I have successfully installed Skyrim onto my hard drive without my xbox crashing, yay! I'm trying Minecraft now, but it keeps restarting on me, so it's not giving me a chance at all. I bought this xbox in gamestop too. Lamesauce. Can't play minecraft
because it crashes, but I can play skyrim...

Do you receive any error message?

Please, uninstall the game, clear the local saved data, reset your console, and then reinstall the game.

After uninstalling the game, clear the local saved games.

To do it, follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.

On the Manage storage devices screen, select: Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they'll still be saved to the cloud.

Then, reset the console:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and keep my games & apps.

Finally, reinstall the game.
