Minecraft Java Migration, need to buy again?

This issue is happening to a lot of users as well, We think is just a bug with the licence after the migration. Try to reinstall the launcher, if you do not have the new Launcher, try to download it and then log in using the Microsoft option to log in.

Also, try to report this to the Minecraft Help Center sending the Purchase ID which was sent to your email when you purchase it.

Hi Vinicius.

I reinstalled the launcher before logging in this time since it mentioned being out-dated. I'll try another re-install now regardless. Since I bought Mincraft back in 2013 had back then even migrated from minecraft account to Mojang account I don't have a transaction ID to file a support ticket there.

Edit: reinstall did not fix the issue

Oh I see. But you do know which account you use to purchase, right? They could search for the ID that was sent for that account for you if you're unable to do it. Worth the try at least.

Unfortunately, the deadline for migrating your Minecraft account to a Microsoft account with entitlement to Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has passed. The migration process was open until May 10, 2023, and accounts that were not migrated by then are no longer eligible for the free Java Edition entitlement.

If you purchased Minecraft before the migration deadline, you will still be able to play Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. However, you will no longer be able to claim a free copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.

I just want to get this straight for other people who reply to this thread.

So, you had a Mojang login to Minecraft JAVA edition. You haven't migrated yet, but someone hacked your Mojang account and then migrated it to a Microsoft account. Seems like you have to kinda explain the situation back to Minecraft support again, or unfortunately buy another copy of the game.
