    Minecraft Java Edition (PC) Not working when i downloaded Windows 10


    So, I have just bought windows 10 on my computer, Upgraded it, Even updated all of my drivers, Then, When ever I opened Minecraft, I got this error, The game crashed whilst initializing game

    Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated

    I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10, It was working fine before the upgrade, I even tried to download the drivers from intel, And I got a error stating that the drivers are incompatible, I even ran Minecraft and the Intel driver setup in compatibility mode,
    And nothing, I think this is a OpenGL error, I have updated java and have done everything, Nothing works, My graphics card is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, Is there any way possible I can get this fixed? I had another windows 10 computer
    (It died) and Minecraft worked great on it, Its just this computer, And I do not want to go back to Windows 7, So is there a fix out there for this? I have also uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers, And they say that they are up to date, If I try
    to download the drivers from intel's website or the Intel Driver Update tool, It says it ran into a unexpected error, If there is a fix please tell me.

    minecraft windows 10 & minecraft java edition

    I bought the Windows 10 version of Minecraft by mistake, but the one I wanted was the java edition.

    I saw that anyone who buys minecraft java edition is entitled to minecraft Windows 10. Is the reverse also true? Who buys minecraft windows 10 is entitled to minecraft java edition?

    If so, how do I access the java edition version at no additional cost?

    As someone who has Minecraft for both Xbox One and Windows (both Win 10 version and the Java version) I can answer this.

    Poli5hesBubble: When the Windows 10 Edition (Windows Store Version) of the Minecraft entered public Beta in 2015/2016, owners of the pre-existing Java version were given a key to download and own the Windows 10 Edition (Windows Store Version) for free, as
    they already owned it for PC (in Java form). However, this does NOT work in reverse; if you bought the Windows 10 Edition (Windows Store Version), you will NOT be given a free copy of the Java version.

    KyleCBlanchard: Similar to the answer for Poli5hedBubble, if you own the Java version from Minecraft.net, you should be able to go to your Mojang account, log in and see a key that, once entered into the Windows Store or at redeem.microsoft.com, will allow
    you download the free copy of Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition for free.

    also, it says my PC is linked, but when I look at the registered devices, it says there are 0 registered devices. Maybe this is the problem. It is an older dell, but meets all the reqs.
    Just to make sure, did you purchase "Minecraft", "Minecraft for Windows 10" or Minecraft Java Edition? Typically when it's looking for a device, it's looking for a console. "Minecraft" is for the console. "Minecraft for Windows 10" or Java Edition are for the PC.

    If you bought the Pc version, you don't own the console one. Also on PC there's Minecraft Java edition and Minecraft Windows 10 edition
