    So I purchased Minecraft last year or so for its normal price, it was working just fine until I got a new hard drive and reinstalled windows and now it shows up as unpurchased. This was unexpected, to say the least, going into the launcher when you download it via the Microsoft store app it prompts me to start the "demo" as if I didn't purchase it. I signed in with my Microsoft account since that's the one I used to buy the game and play on it but of course, I get this issue. I have no idea what's causing it so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    This is also on Java Edition, not the Windows one if that's any help.

    Migrated Microsoft account not working for Minecraft

    It was Java Edition. I tried repairing/resetting, reinstalling the launcher a few times, and it's still not showing up with my Minecraft account.

    I'm glad that it worked for you!

    Yeah, for some players Java version on windows store doesn't work properly, it seems that version is more intended to Game Pass subscribers

    Thanks! It worked and the "play" option is available, I find it odd the windows 10 one didn't work but thanks nevertheless.

    I purchased it with my Microsoft account last I remember. Though I did buy it and launch it with the old launcher if that helps at all.

    Download and install the Launcher marked as Windows 7/8 from this page - https://minecraft.net/download

    The try sign in again. Let me know how it goes
