    Minecraft Java Edition is not installing or showing up properly.


    Trying to keep this ask simple, but a friend of mine bought Java Edition Minecraft for me, around Christmas. I go to download it, it installs, then Java Edition doesn't say it's purchased, and I need to buy it. I figure it might simply be an issue with the installer or something of the like, so I uninstall it and go to reinstall it. It has not reinstalled since, and I've tried, extensively. Does someone have any idea what the heck and hell is going on? I want to play the funny block game with my friends.

    Just a friendly reminder though that for Minecraft Java Edition there is no option for us to validate the license through Microsoft which means that you may need to reach out to Mojang so they can check the license and guide you with the next step.

    Thanks for taking the time to share it. If you sign in to the Minecraft website, are you able to redeem Minecraft Java Edition there, does it show that you also own Java Edition or it asks you to buy Java Edition?

    No install option for minecraft purchase

    The purchase shows as 'completed' under order history. I dont have an xbox, this is on my son's laptop. I purchased the deluxe edition and it said it was available for PC. I have just installed the minecraft launcher, minecraft and minecraft java separately but there are none of features of the deluxe edition.

    It was Java Edition. I tried repairing/resetting, reinstalling the launcher a few times, and it's still not showing up with my Minecraft account.

    Then you have the JAVA edition installed but you bought the Bedrock edition. I recommend uninstalling Minecraft and then install it from the Microsoft Store
