Minecraft Java Edition cannot change my skin?!

No the minecraft website does not show my account owning Java edition. I cannot change my skin or access my player name.

Yes when I try to change my skin in Minecraft Java my skin is stuck on the Alex skin but the same skin works for the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft . And I have tried using another skin but that too did not work .

The skin is only usable on the Bedrock Editions of Minecraft, so you cannot use it in the Java Edition.

You will get a code through email which can be entered on
redeem.microsoft.com, after which you can download the skin as a DLC for the Windows 10 or Xbox Edition of Minecraft.

In addition to changing your skin in the launcher you can also do it on the website. First, visit www.minecraft.net and log in. Select your username at the top and click profile. Under My Games and Minecraft: Java Edition you should see an option to Change Skin. You can upload your skin here and it will appear in game.
