    Minecraft Java edition account randomly unlinked to Microsoft account.


    Just last night I had been playing and when I open my launcher today, I no longer have my same account and it is requesting me to pick a new username. I'd like to keep my account I had migrated to my account previously. I have no idea what has happened and am worried I'm just out of luck but pray something can be done. Not sure if it's related but I did have a failed login attempt at 3:01 am last night after I'd fallen asleep, and my profile name was changed to a derogatory slur.

    According to what's described on the Minecraft official page: "After you link a Minecraft: Java Edition account to a Microsoft Secure Account (MSA), the accounts are permanently linked and cannot be unlinked. "

    This means that the Xbox Online support team won't be able to do anything about the situation, and my advice would be to get in touch with them once again to see what can be done about the case.

    The problem is that Microsoft accounts can't be unlinked from Minecraft,

    "After you link a Minecraft: Java Edition account to a Microsoft Secure Account (MSA), the accounts are permanently linked and cannot be unlinked. "

    Please open a ticket with Minecraft support letting them know the account got compromised.

    Unfortunately, after you link a Minecraft: Java Edition account to a Microsoft Secure Account (MSA), the accounts are permanently linked and cannot be unlinked. However, I would highly suggest getting in touch with Mojang Support to see if they can change the email.
