when i download minecraft java, and try to open it through the launcher it doesnt work. everytime it comes with the error

Failed to download file.

everything in the underlined is not always the same, some times its in a different route that im missing the file, and the url is different for the file. but even when i download the file and put the file that the url leads too into said spot, for example (AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\libraries\net\java\dev\jna\jna-platform\5.10.0\jna-platform-5.10.0.jar ) it still comes up with a different file im missing, all the missing files are usually .jar files. i have put in many different files and some even after i put them in still dont work and come up as an error.

Things I've Tried

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling minecraft and the launcher

reinstalling newer java versions

disableing ant-virus and fire walls

turning off anything to do with a vpn even though i dont have one

using youtube videos but nobody had the same problem as me

deleting the .minecraft folder and letting minecraft download a new one

downloading my friends .minecraft folder that works through google drive. (but it was still missing files and stuff)

restarting my pc

restarting minecraft

trying different versions of java minecraft

trying different launcher modes

using optifine

deleting all minecraft clients (badlion and lunar)

Nothing seems to work no matter what

this is for minecraft java only i dont want to get into windows 10 eddition.

minecraft is installing without files or my computer is deleting files minecrafts needs i think

can someone help me

I can assist you with some things, but if the issue persists you need to reach Mojang team.

First, are you on Windows 10 or 11?
Also, what are your PC hardware specs?
And, may I know which launcher are you using? (The one from Microsoft Store or the downloaded via Mojang website)

In the meantime please try this:

First uninstall actual minecraft launcher.

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available (Install optional updates as well)

Also, check the Microsoft Store for any updates on the Xbox apps and its services and update everything too.

Now, sign out from your account on both Xbox app and Microsoft Store and do this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Then do the same for the Xbox app:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click repair and then reset

Finally do this:

Step 1: Open the Run window by pressing Windows + R key.

Step 2: Input WSReset.exe in the Run window and click OK.

Step 3: Then a command prompt window will appear. After a few seconds, Windows Store will open.

Sign in again on both Microsoft store and Xbox app with your account and install minecraft launcher using the Xbox app

This happens when your Microsoft account is not the one that you used previously, please close the launcher then try to log back with the account.

You can also confirm that you are using the Java Microsoft login option and not the Mojang login option

I would recommend that you use the Microsoft store app to install the launcher, and if you already did, confirm is updated
