    I am playing Minecraft on a switch, trying to play with someone on an iPad. They have been able to send us an invite and we can play together. But when I send an invite from the switch they don’t see the realm we sent the invite for. Thanks

    By notification on the Minecraft game and I get the invites even if minecraft is closed.

    Hi tashyb33!

    To make sure, are you using the steps in the
    Realms Overview     under "How to invite other players to your Realm", for that?

    Also, do you see any issue receiving invitations to other players' Minecraft Realms? Are you able to invite those friends to play in other games normally, when you try?
    The issue is that nobody on minecraft can invite other people, because the invite doesn’t send for anyone.

    Just to cover all bases: You and your friend both have the same Minecraft version (e.g. you are both playing on the Xbox One, and you both are playing "Minecraft" and not "Minecraft Xbox One Edition")?

    Is it possible that you or your friend have joined the Insider Preview Betas for Minecraft?

    Do you get invites for other things (Party invites, invitations for other games)? Is it possible that you turned off notifications? Open the settings on your console and under Preferences and Notifications make sure that the appropriate notifications are
    turned on.

    How is your friend trying to invite you? For example, are you already in a party, and she chooses to use the party menu to "invite party to game" or something like that?
