    Minecraft instantly crashes whenever I try to open it


    It is fully vanilla and I already tried multiple versions, the error continues. The error screen says:

    The error started from nowhere. One day I closed the game and when I tried to open it again this error started, I did everything I could from repairing and resetting the launcher, reinstalling the launcher, installing java. Yet the error continues. Does anyone know how to fix it? If not then I don't think I'll be able to fix the game.

    Thanks for the quick answer. I managed to find the Java folder and tried inserting the code on the latest version installation, but it gives me this error:

    Your Java Runtime is incompatible. Please edit your installation to use the bundled Java Runtime.

    I assume the Java version isn't compatible with the latest Minecraft version? However, when I tried with a 1.8.9 installation, I got another error. First it opens a Java code window and then it gives me this error on the launcher:

    The game crashed: initializing game

    Error: org.lwjgl.LWJGLException: Pixel format not accelerated

    Thanks for the response. I tried following your recommendations, but quickly ran into a problem. I've looked and discovered that there's no Minecraft folder in Program Files (x86). Is this a true issue, or could there be an alternative location where a similar folder may have been created?

    Hello. That means that your Java is installed on a different path. Please look for the path where you installed the "Java.exe"

    You may check the default path C:/Program Files/Java

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues launching Minecraft Java. The error that you're receiving is related to your Java. Please follow my recommendations below.

    Step 1: You need to open the Minecraft Launcher and click 'Launch Options'

    *Note: If you're using the new launcher go to Minecraft: Java>Installations tab>Latest Release and click the 3 dots then edit. Now click more options then you'll see the Java executable box.

    Step 2: In settings, make sure the 'Java executable' box is checked/ticked/set to green.

    Step 3: In the text box next to 'Java executable', you need to remove the w oat java, and make sure that the code in the box reads like so: C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\java.exe

    Step 4: Save your changes then try launching the game.

    Step 5: If that does not work, you made need to delete and re-install Java
